What the media won't tell you...(An excerpt from a recent e-mail by Mike)
"While on a foot patrol, we walked by a school and all the kids came running out and asked us questions and asked for candy and money. They knew a little bit of english, so it was cool to talk to them. They love having us here. They don't want us to leave. They feel safe when we are here and want us to finish what we started, because if we just leave them, then the terrorists will take right over again. It's honestly a life-changing experience being here around these people. I consider myself lucky, because this is exactly why I joined the Marine Corps - to do things like this."

WOW! Does this ever make a grandmother proud. He's a young man that has his head on straight. We need more of his generation to step up to the plate like he has. And more of the older generations need to be behind them.
