Brothers

Matt and Sam keeping warm on the front patio swing while watching Timmy and his friend play catch in the front yard. They love to cuddle together. It's cute when they do that. Too bad they have to outgrow it.

Sammy - 2 1/2 yrs.
Matty - 5 1/2 yrs.

After-School treats

I always have to set some aside for Johnny, because he gets home so much later than everyone else now that he's in Junior High. It's so nice that they aren't all piling in the door at the same time this year. First, Tim, Jake, and Matt arrive.  Then Greg (if he doesn't have baseball practice after school) arrives about a half hour later, and then John arrives about a half hour after that. I like it that way.

Johnny - 7th grade, 13 yrs.

Sick...

Sammy has been sick for a couple of days...cough, runny nose, and fever. He wants lots of cuddles.  And I'm more than happy to give them to him.

Sammy - 21/2 years

See Jake's necklace. It's a dog tag that says "In Support of My Brother, Michael Romney, USMC. He wears it every day.

Every day after school the door slams, the backpacks drop, and I hear "What's for after-school-snack?" Not even a "Hi, Mom!" Matty is liking his rice krispy treat.
Today's after-school snack is heart-shaped rice krispie treats. I know it's a little early for Valentine treats, but I couldn't wait any longer to use the new strawberry flavored marshemellows I found. They are very yummy and add a pretty color that I'm sure my boys will appreciate! And they are even being served from my pink heart-shaped platter! Nonetheless, they will be devoured.

Berry Smoothies...
1 cup frozen berries
1 banana
some icecream (or yogurt)
1 TBLS concentrated orange juice
some milk
Yummy!!!

This is Timmy's favorite after-school snack. I like it, too.

Puzzles

The Life of a two year old... Today while I was in my room working on some Young Women stuff, Sammy was in the family room dumping out all of the puzzles. Oh, I hate when that happens! Anyway, he had a lot of fun helping me put them back together. This one was his favorite!

Sammy - 2 1/2 yrs.

Matty and his friend, Ronan Udall, jumping on the trampoline (great for getting all that energy out!) Love the trampoline!

Matty and Ronan eating lunch and watching Mr. Beans' Holiday! Little boys think Mr. Beans is so funny!
Buddies
Sammy and his best buddy, Brody Fuller, watching Dora the Explorer. Cute boys!

Tim likes playing the trombone in his elementary school band, but he hates taking the time to practice. I had a talk with him about it last night, and he promised to do better. So, he practiced for three minutes today. Not quite what I had in mind. But better.

Greg has A hour (school starts at 7:00 AM) this semester and has been really good about getting himself up and out the door without me even hearing him. But he is not getting enough sleep, and many times comes home from school and does this...takes a nice nap! Smart boy!

These boys have figured out a way to watch the show "Prison Break." It airs on Monday nights at 7:00 PM which is right in the middle of Family Night, so they never get to see it on T.V. So now they watch it on the computer on Tuesday after school!
(They are always trying to convince me that watching it would be a great family night activity, but I'm not buying it!) I'm so mean, I know.

Chores

Timmy is busy getting his jobs done so that he can do what he wants to do. He did a good job cleaning the bathroom this morning. He's got a big baseball game planned with all of his friends. Yesterday he made out his list of possible players. Hope he can get them to all come out and play! Love you, Tim.

Bear Cubs

These two little boys love to hug, wrestle, and play together like two little cubs..I love it when they do that. It's so cute and sweet! And much better than duking it out...which happens too often around here.

Matty - 5 1/2 yrs.
Sammy - 2 1/2 yrs.

Late-Night Snacking

TRIX are for kids!!! Yes, this little guy is still awake! It's because I haven't taken the time to put him to bed due to the fact that I'm trying to figure this blogging thing out. Everyone else is asleep but us. So, he's having his 4th meal. He goes to bed later than the others anyway, because I keep him on this schedule so that I can get a 3 to 4 hour nap out of him in the afternoon while Matt is at school. It works for me! And then Scott is home with us in the evenings to help entertain. He's a Daddy's boy anyway.

Sammy - 2 1/2 yrs.

I had to get a shot of Greg shaving. He looks so manly shaving. How did this happen that I now have two boys that shave?!? I feel really old. But I'm still sitting in the cultural hall during church with a two year old!!! Crazy!
This is the money pit that Greg gets to drive. It's pretty cool looking (a 82 Chevy shortbed, with a 350 and sitting on 20's!) but it's a real gas hog and hasn't got a radio and the gas gage is broken! Oh and the license plate says 7 BROS. Scott and Mikey spent a lot of time fixing it up.

This little boy is in need of a haircut big time! It's just such a pain to take him to the barber, because he still has to sit on my lap, and I hate that. I'm waiting for Scott to get some time that he can take him.

Sammy - 2 1/2 yrs.
We took the boys to see National Treasure on Christmas Eve. I rarely get a shot of them all together. So I made them stop and stand still for a minute. So happy to have had Mikey home on leave from Camp Lejeune. We love him and miss him!!! Oh, and Sammy didn't last very long at the movie, so Scott left with him and went home and did some wrapping, and then he came back and got us. It was a fun way to eat up some time before the Christmas Eve tradition of opening a present before bed. These boys are a handful and drive me crazy most days, but I love 'em a lot!
